Upholding ethical conduct: C&T organizes staff workshop on code of conduct with ICAC
Hong Kong, June 22, 2018 - To let employees better understand the Group’s Code of Conduct and empower every one of them for joined effort to uphold the ethnics in its various business offerings, C&T coordinated with the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to conduct two training sessions on anti-corruption at C&T’s Cyberport headquarters on June 14.
C&T outlined the operating principles in relation to anti-corruption in its Code of Business Conduct Policy years ago, and has been complying with all relevant laws and regulations that have a significant impact on the employees. The latest training provided guidance on the appropriate practices when dealing with the company’s suppliers, contractors, business partners and other external parties. Together with revision of what legal compliance is, the instructor of ICAC also reminded the employees of dos and don’ts in day-to-day business matters through case sharing.
Believing that the quality of the Group’s people is closely linked to what it delivers, client satisfaction and sustainability of its business, C&T is committed to developing a quality team that not only excels in business objectives, but also upholds ethics and integrity. Through periodic workshops, employees are regularly provided with opportunities to attend formal training programs that benefit their career as well as whole-person development.
