Hong Kong, September 29, 2018 - To promote fair trade for a sustainable society and support the initiatives of Fair Trade Hong Kong (FTHK) to strike for a respectable livelihood for farmers and workers, C&T organized a series of activities with FTHK, including the DIY Natural Scrub Workshop and Chocolate Storytelling and Tasting Workshop.

To raise colleagues’ awareness of fair trade in a leisure, interesting way, the DIY Natural Scrub Workshop was held as a lunch-time gathering on July 6 at the Group’s Cyberport headquarters. Over 20 colleagues from various departments joined to learn the idea of fair trade from FTHK’s representative and make their own scrub by using fair-trade products such as coffee grounds and coconut oil.

The Chocolate Storytelling and Tasting Workshop was jointly organized by FTHK and Hans Andersen Club (HAC) on September 22 at HAC Diana Boyd Wilson Centre. During the workshop, C&T colleagues became storytellers and interacted with the children. They also tasted chocolates produced by Fair Trade manufacturers and played quiz games on Fair Trade and chocolate. Helping to cultivate children's interest in reading and nourish their minds through interactive games, stories and activities, the volunteers enjoyed a memorable time with the children.

Besides participation in FTHK workshops, C&T promoted fair trade through sending fair-trade gifts to guests of business events. Welcomed and supported by the employees, guests and customers, these moves are a solid foundation for C&T’s ongoing pursuit of a sustainable society.
