Staff engagement: Initiatives for joyful and healthy workplace
Hong Kong, June 8, 2018 - A healthy workplace not only protects the physical well-being of employees, but also provides a comfortable environment for enhanced collaboration and productivity. This is why health-related programs and activities are part of C&T’s key practices to engage employees. The latest of the Group’s involvements include a charter pledge to the "Joyful@Healthy Workplace" program, “Smoke-free Athlete” campaign participation, fruit distribution days, etc.
The "Joyful@Healthy Workplace" program was launched by the Department of Health, Labour Department and Occupational Safety and Health Council. Through signing the Joyful@Healthy Workplace Charter, C&T pledged to a series of activities focusing on "Healthy Eating", "Physical Activity" and "Mental Well-being” to promote physical and mental well-being in the workplace.
From May 19 to June 30, C&T also participated in the “Smoke-free Athlete” campaign organized by the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH). C&T took the opportunity to share more information on smoke-free life, encourage smoking cessation and promoting healthy interests and habits, such as exercising instead of smoking, to get rid of tobacco addiction and improve health.
On the company’s latest fruit day in June, over 200 dragon fruits were delivered to colleagues. The regular fruit distribution campaign is an ongoing effort to promote healthy eating habits to our staff.
Always valuing a joyful and healthy workforce, C&T is committed to creating the environment for employees’ better health and connections through engaging them in a wide range of healthy programs and activities.
