Hong Kong, October 6, 2017 - C&T was awarded the Industry Cares 2017 certificate of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Recognition Scheme by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), commending its contributions in social services and community engagement. 

FHKI was established in 1960 to foster the interests of Hong Kong's industrial and business communities and promote trade, investment, technological advancement, manpower development and business opportunities in Hong Kong. It establishes the Industry Cares Scheme in 2013 to encourage members to pursue Corporate Social Responsibility by involvement in community activities and to recognize those demonstrating significant efforts in social services. This year’s awards were announced to C&T and other corporates sharing the same commitment to social responsibility at the award recognition ceremony on September 26, 2017.

In the past year, many C&T colleagues and their family members joined various social service activities together and contributed each one’s little yet meaningful effort to make the community a better one. Joining hands with Fu Hong Society, Hong Kong Movie Star Sports Association Charities Limited (HKMSSAC), Oxfam Hong Kong and other charities, the volunteers of C&T paid visits to those living alone, sent festival gifts and warmth to the elderly, ran for those physically and mentally challenged, donated and raised funds for the those in need or even to the goodwill of environment.

Carrying the Industry Cares symbol, C&T hopes to raise the industry’s care for the community and continues to make its utmost efforts with employees’ increasing support to create a sustainable society through continuous participation in social service activities and implementing environmental protection practices in various aspects.
