Hong Kong, October 26, 2018 - Since the headquarters’ relocation to Cyberport in 2014, C&T has been establishing good connections with other companion industry players at Cyberport. On October 24 afternoon, C&T invited members of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) for a visit to the Cyberport community led by the representatives from Cyberport Management Company Limited and exchange with startups at the Smart-Space of Cyberport.

Cyberport's collaborative activities provide a comprehensive business network for startups in Hong Kong’s digital technology industry and create opportunity to exchange ideas and expand business in different companies. As a member of the scheme, C&T is committed to bringing different professional associations to Cyberport, through which to promote the exchange of technology and talent between worldwide business alliances and startups in Cyberport to fuel the growth of the digital technology industry in Hong Kong.

The Cyberport visit event was initiated by Chairman of C&T Group, Ir. Ng Cheung Shing, who is also Chairman of Information and Technology Committee at CGCC. On the event day, meeting Ir. Ng. at C&T headquarters, the delegates were introduced to the company’s history and businesses and taken to a tour around the company.

Led by the representatives from Cyberport, the CGCC members had a walk around the IT innovation hub and came to the renowned Smart-Space, where they met Cyberport’s startups and learnt about the development of their fin-tech and AI-powered learning products.

Through this activity, C&T hopes the startups at Cyberport have had the chance to reach out to possible investors and industry players and equip themselves for future expansion. Having a mission to foster the sustainable development of Hong Kong’s IT industry, C&T will continue to organize various collaboration events in the near future.
