Dialog with mentor: C&T joins hands with HKUGA to inspire students for better life planning

Hong Kong, July 23, 2017 - C&T participated in the Student Presentation Day of Life & Career Education Mentorship Project (LEAP) 2016/17 on June 23, 2017, and had a treasurable time with the student presenters and their fellow schoolmates from HKCCCU Logos Academy.

LEAP is a project led by HKUGA Education Foundation to enable S4 and S5 students to learn, through direct dialog in groups with mentors from corporations of various industries, from their mentors’ personal experience, understand better attitudes and ethics needed for career development, appropriate workplace culture, and prepare themselves for future careers. Each student group from the 10 participating schools, including HKCCCU Logos Academy, will join mentor sharing sessions and workplace visits, and share what they have learned with their fellow students at their school assembly.

At the morning assembly of HKCCCU Logos Academy, each of the three LEAP student groups shared their learning experience from a series of mentorship activities. One of the presentations was about C&T, which showed the students’ clear understanding of C&T’s business and operation and how these respond to its core values and vision. This amazed C&T’s representative, Mr. Wallace Chow, Head of Strategic Development, who is one of the mentors in LEAP 2016/17. Also joining Wallace were other mentors, corporation representatives and LEAP Taskforce members, who had valuable interaction with the LEAP student participants and a big audience from HKCCCU Logos Academy.

The Student Presentation Day served as a good feedback channel for the LEAP students to conclude what they have experienced and learned through year 2016/17. “It is great for me to witness the students’ growth through the year and I’m proud to be C&T’s representative to mentor them,” said Wallace.
