C&T announces 2026 Interim Results

Hong Kong, August 19, 2026 - Leading Hong Kong listed information technology (IT) software and service company, Computer And Technologies Holdings Limited (“C&T” or “the Group”, SEHK 00046) announced the unaudited interim results of the Company and its subsidiaries for the six months ended 30 June 2026.

During the reporting period, the Group’s revenue remained stable at HK$120.2 million, broadly comparable to the same period in 2025.  Gross profit margin softened slightly to 55.7% (2025: 56.7%), primarily reflecting higher engagement of third-party services, which was partially offset by reduced internal staff costs in product development and project delivery.

The Group undertook office relocation projects in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland (the “Relocation Projects”), resulting in a gain on lease modification of HK$1.6 million (2025: Nil), which was recognised as other operating income.  Together with higher value-added tax refunds and government subsidies, other operating income increased by 185.3% to HK$3.6 million (2025: HK$1.2 million).

Concurrently, the Relocation Projects resulted in additional depreciation charges, contributing to an increase in overall general and administrative expenses during the period.  This was partly offset by a HK$2.3 million decrease in amortisation of other intangible assets.  As a result, profit from operations increased by 17.2% to HK$20.8 million (2025: HK$17.7 million), while the operating profit margin improved to 17.3% (2025: 14.7%).

During the period, the Group’s other income and gains decreased by 12.5% to HK$5.5 million (2025: HK$6.3 million), primarily attributable to lower bank interest income.  By contrast, the absence of changes in property valuation led to a reduction in fair value loss of HK$2.0 million.  As a combined result, profit before tax increased by 20.0% to HK$25.8 million (2025: HK$21.5 million).

Income tax expense increased to HK$4.4 million (2025: HK$3.0 million), primarily due to an additional tax provision of HK$1.1 million (2025: Nil) in respect of certain claims for enhanced deduction relating to research and development expenditures incurred in prior years, together with a reduction in deferred tax credits arising from the amortisation of other intangible assets.  Management will continue to liaise with the Inland Revenue Department (the “IRD”) to resolve these prior-year tax matters.  Further details are set out in note 7 to the interim results announcement.

Taking into account the above factors, consolidated net profit attributable to the shareholders of the Company increased by 15.9% to HK$21.6 million (2025: HK$18.6 million), while basic earnings per share increased to 8.86 HK cents (2025: 7.66 HK cents).  The improvement in results, healthy operating cash flows, and sound financial position supported the Board’s decision to declare an interim dividend of 6.0 HK cents per share for 2026 (2025: 5.5 HK cents).

Mr. Ng Cheung Shing, Chairman of the Group said, “The global economic outlook for the second half of 2026 is expected to remain mixed, as moderate growth opportunities continue to be tempered by geopolitical tensions.  The Chinese mainland will remain a key regional growth driver, though sector-by-sector recovery rates may fluctuate as structural adjustments and external headwinds persist.

Against this broader backdrop, the Group is well-equipped to navigate the evolving market environment.  Supported by disciplined cost control, targeted marketing strategies, a well-diversified product and service portfolio, and a strong recurring revenue base, the Group remains confident in its ability to maintain business resilience and capture sustainable growth opportunities.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (“AI”) continues to reshape enterprise software, operational workflows, and customer expectations industry wide.  In particular, the emergence of generative AI and AI agents is accelerating the shift from proof of concept testing to enterprise grade deployment which will unlock significant opportunities in workflow automation, intelligent decision support, and domain-specific applications.

The Group continues to embed AI as a cornerstone of its long-term technology strategy, expanding R&D investment to drive software engineering productivity, accelerate product innovation and elevate customer experience.  By integrating AI-driven development methodologies and automation across the software development lifecycle, the Group has streamlined engineering workflows, boosted efficiency and accelerated time-to-market for new features. Concurrently, AI capabilities are being progressively integrated into the Group’s products and solution offerings to deliver more intelligent, personalised and automated user experiences.  These strategic initiatives will solidify the Group’s competitive positioning in an AI-centric market.

Looking forward, the Group is well-positioned to expand its regional footprint through strategic joint ventures, while actively exploring complementary partnerships and acquisition opportunities.  These initiatives will accelerate regional expansion, enrich our technology portfolio, and drive sustainable, long-term shareholder value.  Guided by a disciplined and returns-focused approach, the Group remains confident in its ability to execute its growth strategy and capture emerging market opportunities.”
