Qualifications Framework award:
C&T colleague participates in international customer service summit
In November 2017, a solutions consultant of C&T’s ChainStorePlus ERM product team, Ms. Joy Li was recognized by the Qualifications Framework (QF) Award Scheme for Learning Experiences to attend the Customer Service Summit in New York, the US.

The Summit included different seminars for leaders and executives worldwide who are focused on social media customer service or broader multichannel care to explore practical, real-world case studies from proven brand leaders. Through participating in high-level, business-focused discussions, it was a precious moment for participants to learn more about the difficulties the big brands faced and predict the future customer service trends with year-round research.

Joy took part in the seminars on case sharing and introduction of latest IT, especially the use of AI and big data to empower care agents providing smooth, timely and proactive customer care. Self-service and speedy response boost not only customer satisfaction, but also brand reputation, while reducing volume and cost of issues. Being customer-centric by plugging into customer feedback and behaviors is also the best way to understand, delight and most importantly, retain your customers.

By participating in the conference, Joy was not only inspired by various cases and insights, but also impressed by the people she encountered and the exposure she gained during the journey. She would use “A unique journey, an exclusive experience for life.” to describe the trip and it was a great experience to sharpen her competency and competitiveness in the field of customer service.

In the ever-changing information age, continuous exploration and growth are always the way to career development. As a caring company that values staff development, C&T encourages and supports staffs to pursue lifelong learning for the sustainability of their career path.

Sowers Action Challenging Charity Marathon 2017:
C&T staff team runs for rural students’ future
With the unlimited support of colleagues, C&T has been committed to helping those in need in the community through various charitable and fundraising activities. On October 22 (Sunday), the Group's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Derek Cheung together with three colleagues formed the C&T corporate team and completed the 26km challenge at the “Sowers Action Challenging 12 Hours Charity Marathon 2017” to raise funds for students in rural China with a belief of creating a better world with knowledge.

The "Challenging 12 Hours" since 2000 is an annual occasion for the public to experience the hardship of students in China’s rural mountainous regions taking two to three hours to walk to school every day and learn from their persistence in pursuing knowledge. This year the campaign has gained the support of over 2,500 marathon participants for the goal of raising HKD 3.2 million all for Children’s Home and other education aid programs.

The C&T team set off with the big crowd of racers in the morning at the Islamic Dharwood Paul Memorial Primary School in Tsz Wan Shan into the rugged trails, heading for the checkpoint at Shing Mun Reservoir and the finishing point at Hong Kong Teachers Association Lee Heng Kwei Secondary School in Taipo.

Fueled by support and encouragement among themselves, the C&T team passed the finishing line together with C&T’s team spirit, completing the 26km challenge in 5 hours and 28 minutes. Chairman of the Group, Mr. Ng Cheung Shing showed his great support with action, completing the whole challenge alongside the team. C&T colleagues also turned themselves into cheerleaders and provided extra energy for the C&T racing team throughout the challenge. The team members expressed their satisfaction of joining hands to finish the challenge and raise hope for children’s future, and looked forward to taking the meaningful challenge again next year.
