C&T attends HKCS Gala Dinner
Hong Kong Computer Society 47th Anniversary Gala Dinner cum Hong Kong International Computer Conference (HKICC) 2017 Dinner was held on November 2, 2017, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. As a local pioneer in providing enterprise software products and IT solutions, C&T was invited to the gala dinner that gathered over 800 industry leaders and professionals from over 60 IT practitioners. C&T being one of the event sponsors shared a great evening with the group’s guests from government, banking & finance, global brand management and international education organizations.
The host of the gala, Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS) is a well-recognized non-profit organization established in 1970, serving over 9,000 members and focused on developing Hong Kong’s information technology (IT) profession and industry.

This year’s event focused on “Capitalize on the Belt and Road initiative through digital innovation” and the gala dinner was officiated by Mr. Nicholas W. Yang, GBS, JP Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Innovation and Technology Bureau. The live band performances and a series of interactive sessions kicked off a great evening for all the guests.

TVP seminar for SME:
C&T shares latest data management and protection technologies
C&T and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA) co-organized a Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) seminar on the afternoon of November 16 (Thursday). The seminar held in the office of HKEIA received an audience from electronics manufacturers and SMEs planning to make use of TVP for building or upgrading their industry-specific information management with data loss protection connected to ERP systems.

The seminar started with Ms. Emma Wong (BD & Marketing Manager, C&T Holdings) sharing her first-hand experience in coordinating the whole process of a successful TVP application for an IPL HRMS customer, Keio Engineering Ltd.. In the second session, Mr. Kelvin Cheung (Director of Business Development, Coworkshop) and Mr. Tony Ho (Head of IT, Yip’s Chemical) shared the valuable experience of implementing an effective data loss prevention solution in the petrochemical industry. Mr. Tommy Choi (Business Development Manager, VITOVA EIM of C&T) also introduced the application of all-round data management and robotic process automation (RPA) for account payable processing to streamline daily operations.

The speakers and audience coming from different business sectors had a great interaction about business-specific suggestions for making a successful TVP application and all-rounded integration of different technologies. The seminar provided a great platform for HKEIA member companies and SMEs to better understand the TVP scheme and plan ahead for solution upgrades to cope with the rapidly changing market environment.

Showcasing tech integration:
C&T’s HRM products shine at exhibitions and award selections
C&T introduced the market to the latest development of the group’s flagship HRM systems, IPL HRMS and Platinum HRM, with integration of new technologies in a series of roadshows in the 4th quarter of 2017.
On November 21-22, C&T participated in the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM) Annual Conference and Exhibition 2017 held in Hong Kong. During the two-day gala, the IPL HRMS product team exhibited at the HR Tech Zone and introduced visitors to its HRX mobile app designed for efficient cloud-based leave management and integration with business intelligence (BI).
On December 6, C&T participated in the 8th HR Tech Showcase organized by HR Excellence Center in Beijing. The Platinum product team showcased the latest eHR mobile apps, Platinum ESS, Platinum Mobile and Platinum WFM, to a large number of guests who looked for innovative HR management models.

In the same month, Platinum was honored with the "2017 China Pioneer Human Resources Service Provider — Annual HCM Customer Satisfaction Award" at the China Human Resources Pioneer Awards 2017 held by TopHR.net, and the “2017 Technology Innovation Award” of the China IT Awards 2017 co-organized by ChinaByte, China Information Industry Trade Association and CIO Club. The two awards are a big encouragement rewarding the Platinum team’s long-term commitment to delivering excellent user experience and flexible mobile apps.

The series of industry exhibition participation and award recognitions was a fruitful experience for C&T to introduce the market to the remarkable integration of IPL HRMS and Platinum with mobile, cloud, BI and other new technologies, at the same time bringing in valuable insights from the events, to drive further product innovation that will facilitate better HR management with higher flexibility in the working environment and enhanced productivity.

C&T sponsoring HKRMA Annual Dinner:
Sharing ChainStorePlus ERM’s latest development results
The 2017 Annual Dinner & Retail Awards Presentation Ceremony of the HKRMA was held on Tuesday, December 5, at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. C&T was honored to sponsor the meaningful annual gala and exhibited its flagship retail management product ChainStorePlus ERM at the cocktail session.
The annual dinner is the biggest industrial event in the calendar and attracted more than 1,500 guests from member companies, the retail trade, as well as key representatives from the business community. This year, the association was honored to have invited Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, GBS, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration, as the Guest of Honor to celebrate the memorable moment with the crowd.

During the cocktail exhibition, C&T’s representatives and guests from various retail businesses had nice exchange about the new features of ChainStorePlus. As an integrated retail management platform for global businesses, it is experienced in taking global retail groups to multiple markets in both Europe and Asia with its scalable and flexible design, which has been refined by a combination of mobile-centric functions to facilitate more efficient roll-outs of global retail operations.
