Hong Kong, Jul 27, 2010 – Leading locally listed information technology services company Computer And Technologies Holdings Limited ("C&T", SEHK 00046), through its subsidiary Computer And Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Limited ("C&T Shanghai"), has been awarded by China Pacific Insurance (Group) Company Limited ("CPIC") for its data storage and infrastructure enhancement project for two of its subsidiaries, CPIC Property Insurance Company Limited ("CPIC Property") and CPIC Life Insurance Company Ltd ("CPIC Life").

CPIC, one of the most renowned insurance companies in China, has over 5,000 branches and marketing outlets and nationwide sales and service network, providing individual and institutional clients with a wide range of risk prevention solutions, financial advices and asset management services.

In recent years, CPIC has achieved tremendous success in multiplying its insurance businesses. In order to cope up with their fast growing business as well as to foster further business development, CPIC is committed to uplift its data storage system and network infrastructure. Under the multi-million RMB new contracts, C&T was responsible for providing the insurance giant with an advanced solution and related professional services based on the HP StorageWorks Continuous Access (CA) EVA Software which facilitates data replication and disaster recovery for storage system. On top of the software enhancement, CPIC’s network infrastructure would also be further enhanced by a cluster of Cisco networking products including Cisco switches 3560 and 2960 as well as Cisco router 2811.
