Hong Kong, 28 July 2009 - Leading locally listed information technology services company Computer And Technologies Holdings Limited (“C&T Holdings”, SEHK 00046), through its subsidiary Computer And Technologies Integration Limited (“C&T Integration”), has recently received several new contracts worth close to 10 million RMB from China Pacific Insurance (Group) Company Limited (“CPIC”) for enhancing their data centre infrastructure at Tianlin of Shanghai.

CPIC, one of the most renowned insurance companies in China, has over 5,000 branches and marketing outlets and nationwide sales and service network, providing individual and institutional clients with a wide range of risk prevention solutions, financial advices and asset management.

Taking into consideration of business needs at present as well as long-term development goals of the insurance giant, the data centre infrastructure upgrade project is an integral part of the overall IT infrastructure development blueprint of CPIC, which aims to construct a nation-wide core network to provide a stable, secured and high performance operating platform to substantiate the growth of core businesses of CPIC.

Under the contract, C&T was responsible for the provisioning of state-of-the-art network equipment with installation, testing as well as after-sales support services. The new network infrastructure was primarily based on a cluster of Cisco 4948 switches.
