Hong Kong, 19 Aug, 2008 - Leading locally-listed information technology services company Computer And Technologies Holdings Limited (“C&T Holdings”, SEHK 00046), through its subsidiary Computer And Technologies Integration Limited (“C&T Integration”), has recently completed several new contracts collectively worth multi-million RMB from Hai Tong Securities Co Ltd (“Hai Tong”) to upgrade its data centre's network infrastructure at Guang Dong Road and Wai Gao Qiao in Shanghai.

Hai Tong is one of the largest securities brokerage companies in China. To enhance the data security protection, Hai Tong entrusted C&T Integration to be its technology partner again for implementation or related projects.

Under the contracts, C&T Integration was mainly responsible for upgrading the network infrastructure by deploying the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) for Hai Tong's two data centres in Shanghai. After the deployment, Hai Tong would be able to detect unwanted attempts at accessing, manipulating or disabling of its computer systems and able to monitor network or system activities for malicious or unwanted behaviours, and can react in real time to block or prevent those activities. This highly enhances its data security and prevents intrusion. The integrated infrastructure solution was built on top of Cisco IPS4270 security sensor appliance, Cisco MARS 110 security appliance and Juniper NS-IDP-600C intrusion detection and prevention appliance.
